Daily Meditation:
Our connections to others make us vulnerable, but they are also what make us human. Without social and intimate connections to others, our lives are often empty and meaningless. To be fully human means that we must connect to others and form relationships based on caring, trust, compassion, and love. We must reach out to others, and we must let them in. We must open ourselves to others so that they can see and begin to love the real person each one of us is, and so that we may see and love each of them as well.
Body:
When we operate from a place of honesty and vulnerability, we can connect with others and find meaning in our lives.
Heart:
When we open our hearts to others with our true beings we will encounter others that we truly connect with.
Mind:
When we learn that we need others as they need us we will learn to connect with them and form bonds of friendship and true caring.
Soul:
Once we allow ourselves to be open and vulnerable, our souls can connect with the souls of others and our connections will heal us and make us whole.

I have noticed that the more people try to feel "safe" the less safe they feel, and the more they are likely to harm others or give up happiness in a vain attempt to feel safer. It is only when you are willing to accept the risks, and feel no entitlement - to accept that safety is an illusion - that you can truly live with others, and accept the immense rewards of living in a universe so vast that it can't be all about you.

    Our unique nature as human and spiritual beings spans four worlds: the
    physical--our bodies; the emotional--our hearts; the intellectual--our minds;
    and the spiritual--our souls.
    I believe we have within each of us a spark of the Divine Spirit.

    I hope my words will give comfort, guidance, and clarity in your quest to heal and grow into your happiest, healthiest, and best selves.

    I hope that you connect with the Divine Spark within you and find meaning and purpose in your lives.

     I wish you peace in your day.
